Most Awkward FHE...EVER.

I'm just gonna post my journal entry for tonight...

"Deear Journal,
You may have noticed that I misspelled “dear.” I know. I did it on purpose.
Ok, maybe not, but I’m too lazy to go back and fix it right now..although I could have fixed it about ten times in the amount of time it’s taken me to write this.
This entry has to be short, sorry!
Today:
-Went to regular classes
- Gave blood! Waited 3 hours to do it though- seriously, I got there at 2:35 and left the court at 6. Crazy. It took me 5 mins and 8 secs to fill up my bag. Heidi beat me by nine seconds, she got hers filled in 4 mins. 59 secs.
- Took a nap from 7-8. It felt so good!
- Had FHE with the “boys.” Omigosh most awkward lesson ever. JD, our “dad” gave us a lesson on Chastity. That’s right, Chastity. I got a lesson on Chastity from my 18 year old dad. I cracked up almost the whole entire lesson, and I was sitting right next to him. I’m sorry, but when the lesson starts off “Ok, let’s talk about Sex,” and then moves to “Alright, who here has kissed a member of the opposite sex? It’s okay, you can share” looks around when no one makes a move, “Common, guys, who here has kissed- yes, josh, kissed a girl. Josh, you have- did you tongue her??” “Did I what?” “Did you tongue her?” “NO I didn’t tongue her” “Well that’s okay if you did, you know a little can be fun every once in awhile, you just have to know your boundaries- me, I keep my hands in my pockets, so they don’t wander...” It just kept going like that, and JD kept asking “Why are you guys being so awkward about this? I don’t understand why you are being so awkward.” It ended with “Okay, no who wants to make out? For our activity let’s play Spin-the Bottle.” Rachel put her foot down there (she’s ma) but none of us quite knew if he was being serious or not. Rachel and I are still laughing about it now as I type.
Today probably wasn’t the most productive day. I need to get a lot more done tomorrow, mostly reading. I have to read the Iliad and 5 books of the Odyssey, including many many more chapters of the Book of Mormon. Yay!
Well, G’night y’all! Love ya!

My weekly life in Review at BYU

Hey everyone, so, for my English class we're supposed to keep a daily journal and I thought it'd be a good way to keep everyone updated on what I'm doing! So, here it goes, here's most of my journal entry for tonight.. **This isn't the best example of english writing...but hey, it was really late when I wrote it.**

Dear Journal,
So I’m sorry that I haven’t written as much as I need (or am supposed to..uh-oh X) I have been staying up wicked late every night lately because of combinations of crazy amounts of homework, talking with roomies, and playing games when I should be doing homework so I end up staying up late to do my homework .
Wow, I haven’t written since Saturday. Let’s recap…
Sunday:
- Went to Church.
a. Got my calling in sacrament meeting! Haha, it was funny because beforehand they apologized to the people they hadn’t been able to meet with yet. I was called as a Compassionate Service Committee Member J I’m excited.
i. So, interesting/most embarrassing story now…when the Bishop was giving me my setting-apart blessing my phone went off!! I felt really bad.
- Had dinner with Edie, Maui, Jess Clites, Rebekah Haenel, Adrian Tidd, Allen Anderson, Alex Balinski, Rebecca Peeweenizzle (Alex’s gf..I’m not sure if that’s actually her last name ;) at Mitch Mender’s apartment .
b. To tell you the truth, it was kind of awkward. Mitch, Maui, Jess and Adrian had really bonded over the summer and I felt kinda left out, plus also Allen, Rebecca and Alex were a group so it was hard there, too.
- Had Roomie dinner/ Birthday party for Caralee!!
a. It was so much stinkin fun! Rachel made lasagna and Carly, Heidi and I made Dirt ‘n Worms…it was so good! We had Spence, Jacob, Jason and Steven come over too, and it was so nice/ a lot of fun to have dinner with them. It felt good to have dinner at home, it was like a family dinner meeting time. It just felt good.
Moday:
- Studied my freaking guts out and worked on my insane Civ. Paper. (it’s on obedience and happiness in comparing the way it is crucial in both Christian and Greek societies (all societies, for that matter))
a. I can’t complain though, since I did choose my own topic..
- Family Home Evening!! We watched Ferris Bueler’s Day Off at “our boys” (my new adopted brothers and dad…weird...but very fun J) (Their names are Josh, J.D. (dad), David, Travis, Scott Ditto (we call him Ditto), Tyler, Peter and Aaron).
Tues:
- I don’t remember much from this day..must have been studying!
Wed:
- Worked my guts out and was SO frustrated with my paper!
- HAD AN EPIC PILLOW FIGHT TO RELIEVE STRESS. It was the most amazing thing we did all week, and SO MUCH FUN. Rachel and I put on war paint and pretended to be Savage Warriors.
a. We got the paint from our RA, Rochelle, who used the paints to paint Rosie the Riveter on our window. We all made handprints on the window, then Rachel and I stole the rest of it and had a BLAST painting our dorm window and putting war paint on!! (Haha, we just put our handprints on our faces…it was so much fun!!)
b. The pillow fight seriously lasted for like an hour and a half. So much fun.
c.
Thursday:
- Passed in my Civ paper!! Felt pretty good about it actually. I was so excited to have it done with.
- Rachel, Spencer, Jacob and I stayed up late juggling and playing ping-pong. Spencer was teaching Rachel and me to do both. Rachel is really good at juggling, and I’m okay at ping-pong. Together, we make a pretty good team J
Friday (today):
- Didn’t go to Calculus because Friday is review day and I was exhausted. After English though I spent 3 hours in the Math Lab doing my homework. I’m excited that I’m finally starting to understand limits, but it was kinda frustrating doing it.
- Movie night for Civ. It was a documentary on Nazi Propaganda. Really weird stuff. You just felt bad for all the young German boys because you felt like they had no idea what they were getting into- plus also it made them seem like real people.
a. At one point Hitler said “We must be a peace-loving and strong people,” however, they weren’t peace-loving in the sense that they talked out problems and were tolerant of other people and loved- rather it was that they bowled down any opposition to create a peace with no dissenting voices.
- Fall Fest was tonight. It was a dance, laser tag, portrait painting, speed dating, sumo-wrestling and a magic show. My friends and I went to portrait painting (it took FOREVER waiting) and the magic show. It was fun J
- We stayed up late in the other dorm playing Lightning (it’s a reflex game were everyone who doesn’t push the button first gets shocked….sick, right?? Haha, we couldn’t get enough of it. It was fun in a sadistic, painful sort of way..), then ate brownies and ice cream. Yum! J
- I’m writing in my journal now, letting you know what’s going on J And now, I’m going to bed.

Good night everybody, I love you!
Love, Dani

New England Savages..all over the place

Hey guys, so I thought that since I'm not there we should start a family website. This is a blogsite where we can just write what we're up to, put pictures up, and just say hi:)
Firstly, Josh and Mom just got back from Youth Conference, Alexis has been working on a play, Kyle finished with Math Camp not too long ago, Dani's been work work working at the Heber Creeper, and Dad got to tour Fenway for work! Unfortunately Dad didn't meet Big Papi and become best friends with him, but it's pretty cool that he got to go anyway.

So pleease write down what you're up to and put any (youth conference!!) pictures up here that you want to! I miss you and love you all :)
